The areas around Ubud and Gianyar are home to a number of waterfalls hidden among tropical vegetation, rock formations, rivers, and village landscapes.

Each waterfall has a different character. Some are easier to reach and lively, while others feel quieter and require a short walk through nature.

They can be visited individually or combined with other nearby places depending on how you would like to spend your day.

Places to Explore

Tegenungan Waterfall

Located in Kemenuh, Gianyar, Tegenungan is one of the better-known waterfalls close to Ubud. The waterfall is surrounded by greenery and has relatively straightforward access compared with many other waterfalls in Bali.

Kanto Lampo Waterfall

Kanto Lampo is known for water flowing over a broad formation of tiered rocks rather than dropping as a single vertical fall. Located in Gianyar, it offers a distinctive landscape and is popular for spending time close to the water.

Tibumana Waterfall

Surrounded by tropical greenery, Tibumana has a calmer setting and is reached by walking through the surrounding natural area. Its single curtain-like waterfall and green environment give it a different atmosphere from the busier waterfall sites.
